Scuba diving, whether using a helmet or a scubadive, offers many benefits, both physical and mental:

Physical benefits:

  1. Improved cardiovascular fitness: Swimming and kicking strengthen the heart and improve endurance.

  2. Muscle strengthening: Movement in the water stimulates all muscles, especially the legs, arms and core.

  3. Flexibility and balance: Maintaining buoyancy improves coordination and balance.

  4. Controlled breathing: Deep, slow breathing optimizes oxygen uptake, strengthening the respiratory system.

  5. Joint pain relief: Buoyancy reduces pressure on joints, ideal for people suffering from osteoarthritis or joint pain.

Mental health:

  1. Reduced stress and anxiety: Underwater calm and controlled breathing promote relaxation.

  2. Improved concentration: The need to remain attentive to your surroundings and equipment develops concentration.

  3. Sense of adventure and accomplishment: Exploring new seabeds stimulates a sense of achievement and self-confidence.

  4. Connection with nature: Observing marine life creates a sense of well-being and reinforces respect for the environment.

Social benefits:

  1. Social interaction: Group diving strengthens social bonds and encourages cultural exchange.

  2. Teamwork and mutual trust: Diving in pairs develops trust and a sense of responsibility..

So, are you thinking of getting into it?

What should you choose between a scuba helmet diving or a scuba diving introductoru dive?

1. Hemet diving :

Description : The diving helmet is a heavy piece of modern composite equipment. It allows you to walk on the seabed in complete safety. Air is supplied from the surface via a hose (hookah).

  • Experience: Feel like you're in your own personal “vessel” underwater, with panoramic vision thanks to the helmet.

More natural breathing through the nose and mouth, with no regulator in the mouth. Less freedom of movement due to weight of helmet and surface-mounted breathing system.

  • Depth: On the site chosen by AQUASAFARI, the site is limited to 3 meters for safety reasons.

  • For whom: Ideal for everyone aged 6 and over! It's an awesome experience for everybody, who doesn't know swim or who aren't comfortable using a regulator in their mouth.

2. Introductory scubadive :

  • Description: Using a regulator to breathe, with a compressed-air cylinder on your back. This is the most common form of recreational diving.

  • Experience:

    • A feeling of total freedom, with light equipment allowing you to swim freely.

    • Further exploration of the seabed, with the ability to move around more easily and play with buoyancy.

    • Learn the basics for moving on to higher levels of diving.

  • Depth: 6-meter limit for beginners

  • For whom: From age 8 upwards, perfect for those who want to discover underwater flora and fauna with maximum mobility.

With our partner BORA OCEAN ADVENTURES, you'll be looked after by experienced instructors who know the beauties of the lagoon inside out.

So which one to choose?

  • Introductory helmet diving: For an original, vintage experience, or if you want to test the sensation of breathing underwater without a regulator in your mouth.

  • Introductory scuba diving: For your first discovery of the underwater world, with greater freedom of movement and the chance to explore the seabed.

If your aim is to explore the seabed and perhaps go on to higher levels of diving, the classic scuba diving is more suitable.

If you just want an original experience, or if the regulator seems intimidating, the helmet diving can be fun to try.

Do you have a preference now?

Whatever it is, Bora Bora offers a magnificent setting that's unique in the world!
